Hot and dry deserts are just what they sound like, hot and dry; temperatures average between 20-25 degrees Celsius and only 15 cm of rain each year. Some desert animals are the cactus wren, bobcat, coyote, kangaroo rat and the sonorah desert toad. Desert plants include the soap tree yucca, joshua tree, and the pancake prickly pear cactus.
