A savanna is a rolling grassland between a rain forest and a desert with many plants scattered around. A savanna has 15-20 inches of rain each year, a winter temperature of 68 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit, and a summer temperature of 78 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Some savanna animals are the lion, African elephant, emu, koala bear, and the Nile crocodile. Savanna plants include the baobab, jarrah tree, and Bermuda grass.
